We are back in town, and already we are having a playdate for my daughter. One of her school classmates is a great kid, and his parents are busy today, so we were only too happy to have him over for the afternoon. The kids were playing well as my wife took a business call. We then read a story and made bread to take up more time. After the bread making activity, the kids played bread dough and acted out the motion of the dough in the mixer. I even got some sorting of our room of requirements. Someday it will be a functional space again when the tide of my office stuff has ebbed. Until then, it is our staging area for anything that doesn’t have a home yet.
I think everyone is happy to be home and inhabiting our space without time constraints of school and work.
