A few days ago, my tired and over excited daughter ripped the page of our favorite bedtime story, Goodnight Moon. I did not have any document repair tape, so I ordered some. It arrived on Friday. Saturday, we worked together to repair the page. Being involved in the repair process does more than mend the page for my daughter. It helps her fix something that she feels bad about, it shows her that even a repaired page does not look the same (something that I did not point out, but she observed), and it allows us to have a constructive time together. Saturday night, the book was available again for the routine.
