My daughter has participated in a brain research study with two sessions at MIT and one session at her school. The session today yielded some brain images from a MRI that take me back to those first sonogram images of her inside the womb. For those of us who do not deal with human imaging on a daily basis, there is a sense of wonder when seeing inside someone. Then, it was the first look at the tiny fingers, beating heart, and even the forming skull of our daughter. Today furthers that view with an image that captures all of those structures learned in biology, the reticulations, and even other structures such as the tongue, eyes, and sinuses. These can be seen as one scrolls through the images. There is an amazing amount that goes on inside that brain.
