Peas, Please. But Too Much Squash!

This morning we transplanted our basil and oregano seedlings into planters on our back porch. The peas we seeded a while ago are doing fine, but my daughter’s bean plant from a school spring project withered away. The carrots and beets are beginning to show their first seed leaves, as well. The triangular planter, which will host the lettuce, is already demonstrating the characteristics of being filled with compost. Squash plants are poking up everywhere, and soon we will have to go out and pull them all up. They are too big for that little planter.
